Pseudorapture Experience

Some nights ago, after having a shower, I came out of my room and could not find my mum. It was only two of us at home. I checked her room and every other room in the house shouting “mummy” as I opened each door. She wasn’t in the kitchen either. Suddenly, I could feel my heart beat faster. I wasn’t scared because I thought she was kidnapped or something bad had happened to her. You won’t believe what got me scared- I thought rapture had taken place and I was left behind. I hadn’t had that feeling since I was a little girl when my brothers played pranks on me.

As the scary thought ran through my mind, I shouted louder “mummy where are you?”. I was so scared. ‘Ha! I missed rapture?’ I thought as the grips of fear held on tighter.

For a split second, I thought of tuning the TV to CNN or BBC to see if there was news about rapture but before I could, I heard the main door open and I saw my mum come in, “I went to drop something for our neighbors,” she said in a calm voice that made all my worries appear  foolish. So foolish, I couldn’t even tell her what I had been thinking those few minutes she ‘went missing’.

Funny as this story might have been, it reminded me that the coming of Jesus is so real. It will happen in the twinkle of an eye, just like a dream.  Sadly, we are so preoccupied; the reality of rapture is quickly fading away.

The big question is ‘if Jesus comes this moment, will you go with Him?’ Remain raptureable folks. I must see you all in Heaven. And if you are yet to give your life to Jesus, He is with open arms, waiting for you. Open your heart and accept Him this very moment. He loves you more than you can imagine. Cheers!!!
